A New Chapter

So very excited to announce the Seaside Cloth brand will now be blended as a special collection into The GoodsMaker.  All of the same products you know and love from before; daytotes, clutches, handbags, and all good things textile !
This blending of Seaside Cloth into one multi-brand will allow me to expand the inventory of items that I design and create to now include accessories for your home and garden.  I have spent the last several months researching, developing, sourcing and designing new items that will be featured under The GoodsMaker label.  Seaside Cloth will remain the same for all coastal-inspired bags and accessories.  It's just a bigger family of items now!

Please visit us at this new link for more information on The GoodsMaker.

The new blog for The GoodsMaker is here and its chock full of gorgeous visual inspiration that tells the story of what you can expect from our new designs and products.

And, finally last, but certainly not least, the new shoppe is at this link.  It may not be full of all the new collections just yet, but please check back often, as you know we have new items coming into the shoppe many times throughout each season.

Thanks again to all of our wonderful clients and supporters of The GoodsMaker brand.

Fall's arrival

With the arrival of September 1, I have always equated that date to the unofficial arrival of the Fall Season.  Knowing full well that it does not factually begin until September 21, I continually wish away the Summer heat and dream of cooler nights.

The new linens and nubby textiles have arrived for Seaside Cloth's Fall and Holiday Collections and we are very excited to be bringing new items to the collections this year for Christmas time.
Enduring the heat of this past Summer, plus the re-design and final move of the workshop has all been worth it as the Seaside Cloth shop comes together to launch its new brand and products.
I've received many inquiries regarding colors and textures of the new textiles, as the rough linens that have been a favorite this past couple of years were primarily oat in color.  I am happy to report that the neutrals, whites and pale linens will be returning and available for custom orders this year as well. I will say, however, that the pale colors go quickly and they usually go first, so if you are interested in a particular color and texture, e-mail me as soon as possible, as custom orders are already underway and will go quickly.  Thank you for your continued support and interest in Seaside Cloth.

Up for air

As I have mentioned in past posts, the Seaside Cloth workshop has undergone a major transformative Summer this past couple of months.  The blogging, FB and most of the social media outlets were put on hold while a facelift of the brand was achieved.
There are a number of reasons why this was necessary, but primarily a designer must work constantly to stay ahead of the curve so that a product line stays truly unique.
I have sourced many new textiles and new products will be added to the collections as well, so I hope you check back soon to see what's new!
Thank you to my readers and very special customers for your continued interest in Seaside Cloth and our products.

As Summer ends

Yes, the Seaside Cloth shoppe and blog are still very much alive and well.  In fact, new textiles have been sourced, procured and inventoried and the designing portion for new products continues.  A fresh update and re-working of the brand was in order so that the products are on point and unique.

Additionally,a new collection for Fall and Holiday is underway and will be making its way into the online shoppe very soon.  As of today, new items are not yet added, but you can go to the Seaside Cloth online store here in September to shop for Fall and Holiday items.
This past Spring and Summer has been unbelievably busy for me, both professionally and personally.
A detailed move for the main workshop has finally been completed and work has begun on the new/old homestead as well.
Rather than go on and on about each and every little detail, the story will be told in a series of photographs that depict the last 4 months of design, production and creation so that you can see what I've been up to in the Seaside Cloth workshop. Thank you to all of my wonderful customers, past and present for your inquiries and interest in the new upcoming product lines.

Spring into Summer

As Spring melts slowly into longer Summer days, fashion and accessories change ever so slightly.  I am noticing that the trinkets carry hues of the sea, organic stones are ever present, and fingers and arms carry layer upon layer of baubles to adorn tanned skin.  I'm back on full force designing and sewing accessories after my short hiatus whilst I updated and re-organized my studio and workshop areas.  New textiles and components had arrived that needed inventory space and organizing. So, bring on the warm Seasons, I'm ready with new bags and items that will be in the Shop soon.
