love this photograph found recently by ditte i. he is a much-in-demand stylist / modern photographer and his work is pure inspiration.  it is not often that texture and color come through a one dimensional photo and appear to be 3-d because the tactile qualities are so pure.  nicely done d. 

Old School done great

How great are these vintage, worn early 1900's era utility bags?  I just love the patina and the worn lettering - such a textural and tactile inspiration to look at the original construction methods.  Also really love how the shapes are so timeless that they are often seen in many current styles.  Great style just lasts and lasts...

More new for Fall

This is another new bag as part of the ongoing Fall collection that I've been working on lately.  Luxurious leather accents, colorful stripes on textured canvas and super-roomy for carrying all the necessities.  Will be in the shoppe this week with all of the details.  More to come this week, so check back soon!

And, these are the "before" pictures showing some of the items used in the fabrication of the bag, and the cotton ticking that was used for the internal pocket system.  So fun to look at all of the ingredients in their raw, organic form before they are put together and create a beautiful bag!

Boats, Decks, Columns, Canvas, Color

Buried lately under a mountain of new tactile hardware, textiles and trims as I continue to work on new projects for the Fall Collection.  Also busy booking trunk shows and receptions for the Fall and subsequent holiday season.  Whew, already?  Came across these photos several months ago and revisited again recently.  They exemplify the sweet simplicity of inspiration in everyday items, albeit seaside and coastal inspired.  What else would it be?  More new items will be posted in the shoppe and the blog later this week, so check back soon !

Black and Caramel

This is a recently completed Fall bag that ended up as a custom order.  Super structural and sturdy black canvas (which is incidentally also hard to find!) with a caramel colored top grain leather as accent on the bottom panels, pocket and comfort handles.  The lining is a heavy cotton, cream in color with black pin striped design.  Amazing bag, really.  Additional bags can be made to order - email me for availability and pricing details.  The perfect carryall bag for the upcoming Fall season.
