inventory a go-go
oh, blogspot, why do you fliptrickery the photos sideways that I upload?
This photo was taken around the workshop today as I continue inventory of the current stacks of textiles around the place. This inventorying process although tedious, is necessary at this time because I will be traveling in a few weeks to the textile market and there can be no duplication in any of the stacks and stacks of said items in this joint.
Attempting to run a tight ship around here - at SSCG. tight ship... It all relates back to the Seaside.

insights
...in a recently conducted marketing experiment (read: loose poll) performed by the staff of SScg (specifically, moi) it was enlightening to discover that out of 100 persons polled, the overall winner in a selection of the current SEASIDE cloth & grass collection favorite items included those that have a strong defined seaside location as their inspiration. Simply stated, potential purchasing customers prefer a bag that SAYS Bali Coastline in its design aesthetic, not just a mere visceral reference point of said perceived area. The decidedly refined aesthetic and a strong visual presence helps in this preference also. Invaluable information for a marketing, branding and defined Collection, no? A sincere Thank You goes out to all of the helpful participants in this anecdotal study.

around the workshop
whilst conducting a pre-Spring inventory of workshop stock, decided to snap a few pics as I thought the colorways could be used for inspiration at a later date... one never knows - plus an illustration as backdrop.
and, also a quick snap of an upcoming project on the drawing board... literally and figuratively. SScg has a few tricks up her creative sleeve scheduled to be unveiled in a collection this Spring...
